

Bill Denton has more than 25 years of experience in clinical practice, hospital administration and consulting. He is recognized for his expertise in working with physicians and clinicians to reduce non-labor expenses, without compromising quality, through evidence-based decision making. He is equally recognized for his experience in leading surgical departments in both small community hospitals and in large, complex academic medical centers.
Bill played key leadership roles in Arthur Andersen’s healthcare supply chain practice and Wellspring Partners’ non-labor practice. His experience includes more than 150 non-labor cost reduction projects reducing hundreds of millions of dollars in operating expenses. Bill is a recipient of the United States Public Health Service Rear Admiral, Julia R. Plotnick Chief Nurse Award, for Outstanding Contributions to Nursing.
Bill served as a hospital administrator at Baylor University Medical Center, where he was responsible for their 70 operating rooms. He was the founder of the Baylor University Medical Center Surgical Services Institute and produced several award-winning clinical educational videos. Bill served for several years on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA) infectious disease team for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
Bill received a degree in Nursing from Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas, a degree in Healthcare Administration from Texas A & M University, and an MBA from Amberton University in Dallas, Texas.
